*Death: *

The death has occurred of Joseph O’ Halloran, The Castle, Ballyheigue.
Reposing at his home, The Castle, Ballyheigue last Friday evening the 3rd
May. Requiem mass took place on Saturday 4th May in St. Mary’s Church,
Ballyheigue and burial afterwards to St. Mary’s Cemetary, Ballyheigue. MAY
HE REST IN PEACE .Sadly missed by his loving family – His devoted wife
Mary, Sons Mark and Alan, Daughter Niamh, Mother in law Mai, Daughters in
law Noreen and Kay, Son in Law Tom Brendan, Brother Jerry, Sisters Sandra,
Jennifer and Karen, Grandchildren, Emma, Shane, Aoibhe, Ciara, Rory, Tadhg,
Ben and Emily, Brothers and sisters in law, Nieces and Nephews, relatives
and friends.

*Coursing Lotto*: The Following numbers were drawn on Monday 29th April in
the Ballyheigue and District Coursing Club Lotto Jackpot was
not won. The €50 winner was Jimmy Browne c/o White Sands. The €25 winners
were Gene McElligott c/o Pat, Brendan O Mahony c/o Macs, Clodagh Daughton
c/o O Regans.

*GAA Celtic Challenge:* The Kerry U17 hurlers defeated Limerick Sarsfield
in Celtic Challenge Cup at Dromakee on Wednesday evening. Final Score Kerry
1-22 to Limerick Sarsfield 1-8. Ballyheigue Club was represented by Nathan
Guerin, Colin Walsh, Conor O Suillvan, Graham Slatttery, David O Mahony and
Seamie O Fuarain.

*GAA Fixtures: *North Kerry U11 Hurling League Ballyheigue vs Ballyduff at
John Joe O Suillvan Park Friday evening 6.30pm. North Kerry Intermediate
Championship Q/Final Ballyheigue(B) vs Causeway(B) at John Joe O Suillvan
Park Friday evening 7.15pm. Co. U14 Hurling League Ballyheigue vs Firies at
John Joe O Suillvan Park Saturday evening 6pm. North Kerry Senior Hurling
League Ballyheigue vs Lixnaw at Lixnaw Sunday morning 11am.

*Minors:* The Ballyheigue Minor hurlers had a great win over in North Kerry
Minor Hurling League Final at Ballyduff on Sunday. At half time Ballyheigue
lead by one goal. Half time Ballyheigue 1-6 to Lixnaw 0-6. Ballyheigue took
complete control and added a further 1-9 to and Lixnaw added 1-2 to their
half time tally. Full Time Score Ballyheigue 2-15 to Lixnaw 1-8. Joe Walsh
North Kerry Board Secretary presented the Jimmy Walker Memorial Shield to
Ballyheigue Captain Darren Stack and Colin Walsh was named Man of Match.

*GAA Lotto:* The Following numbers were drawn at Last Sundays GAA Lotto The Jackpot of €10950 was not won. Next Jackpot will be
€11000. The two €50 winners were Tracey Quille Buncurrig and Luke Bowler
Ballylongane. The €25 winner was Fiona Dooley Caherulla.

*Confirmation:* Confirmation this Year in our Parish will be on Friday 17th
May. There will be Night of Penance this Thursday after the 7pm Mass for
the Children receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation and their parents.

*Darkness into Light Walk*: will take place in Listowel on May 11th at
4.15am. registration online @ http//

*The Maurice Collins Memorial Vintage Club:* would like to extend our

*St. Brendan’s A.C.*

Well done to club athlete Aaron Horgan who set a new age category & course
record at Tralee junior parkrun last Sunday. Congratulations to
Ballyheigue club athletes, Ben O Connor, Dylan McEvoy, Max Fitzgerald,
Kevin Horgan, Rory O Halloran and Aaron Horgan who competed in Day 1 of the
County Athletics Championships last weekend in the An Ríocht Athletic
Track, Castleisland. Day 2 will be held this Sunday and these athletes
will once again be back in action and will be competing in Middle
Distances, Javelin, High Jump, Power Walking and Relays. The Primary
School Sports Area Final will be held on Wednesday, 22nd May starting at 6
p.m. sharp in An Fearann Sportsfield. Qualifiers from the area final go to
the County Final which will be held in the An Ríocht A.C. track on
Wednesday, 12th June at 6 p.m. sharp.

Training continues Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. for u12 to masters while
all juveniles will train on Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Both Monday and Wednesday evening training will be held in An Fearann
Sportsfield. Thursday evening will see the Masters train from 7 to 8 p.m.
