*Ballyheigue Notes 30/04/2019*

*Coursing Lotto*: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 22nd April in
the Ballyheigue and District Coursing Club Lotto The Jackpot
was not won. The €50 winner was Pat Joe Dee c/o Flahives. The €25 winner
was Pat Brassil c/o Christina, Maurice. J. Harmon c/o Macs and Martina
Madden c/o Christina Next week’s Jackpot €11700.

*GAA Seniors: *The Senior Hurlers were defeated by Causeway in Co. League
on Thursday evening on Score of Ballyheigue 2-8 to Causeway 2-20.

*U16:* The Ballyheigue u16 hurlers had a two points win over Kenmare/Kilgarvan
in County Div 1 League Semi Final on Thursday evening. Final Score
Ballyheigue 1-11 to Kenmare/Kilgarvan 1-9. They will play either St
Brendans or Ballyduff in the Final. *U14*: The Ballyheigue U14 lost in the
Feile on Saturday to Kilmoyley and Lixnaw.

*Minor:* The Ballyheigue minor hurlers defeated Lixnaw in North Kerry
League on Sunday morning. Final Score Ballyheigue 1-14 to Lixnaw 2-8. They
are now through to North Kerry Hurling League Final.

*GAA Fixtures*: U12 County Football League Ballyheigue vs St Marys in John
Joe O Suillvan Park on Sunday 6pm. U8 Hurling Blitz on Thursday evening at
6.45pm in Abbeydorney. Minor North Kerry Hurling League Final Ballyheigue
vs Lixnaw venue to be confirmed on Sunday 11am.

*GAA Lotto:* The following numbers were drawn at Last Sundays GAA Lotto The Jackpot of €10900 was not won. The Two €50 winners were
Kathleen Corridon Marian Park and Ger Reidy Tiershanahan. The €25 winner
Laura Dunne Marian Park. Next weeks Jackpot will be €10950.

*Ballyheigue Community Games 2019:* Well done to our U12 soccer team who
competed in Mastergeehea last Sunday. The boys played their hearts out but
met with tough opposition. Thanks to the parents who travelled and best of
luck boys for future soccer tournaments.

Our U16 Draughts Team had a fantastic win at the Munsters. Very well done
to this team who have been together since a very young age. Best of luck in
the Finals in UL this May.

*Ballyheigue Badminton:* On Weds 1st May Ballyheigue Div 5 team play
Moyvane in County Div 5 Mixed League Final in Castleisland at 8pm.

Also, well done to John McDonell and Josie Gilbert who won The Div 4 Mixed
County Championship in Killarney recently.

*Ballyheigue Active Retirement Group:* The Coffee /Tea morning in the aid
of Alzheimer’s Association will take place in Family Resource Centre on
Wednesday morning 1st May 2019 from 11.00am to 1.00pm.


*Overview of the Catechism of the Catholic Church:* Fr. Sean Sheehy,
Wednesdays 7.00pm-8.30pm.

*Weekly Prayer Meetings:* Led by Ben Perkins, Mondays 8.00pm-9.30pm starts
on 6th May*.*

*St. Brendan’s A.C.:*

Well done to club athlete Aaron Horgan who set a new age category record at
Tralee junior parkrun last Sunday. Tralee junior parkrun is held every
Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in Tralee Town Park and is a free event for
children aged 4-14. Preregistration is required as you will need to bring
your barcode with you.

*County Championships*: Wishing the club athletes from Ballyheigue all the
best as they compete this Sunday which is day 1 of the County
Championships. Day 2 will be held on the following Sunday. Competing will
be Aaron Horgan, Kevin Horgan, Ben O Connor, Matthew O Sullivan, Max
Fitzgerald, Dylan McEvoy and Eric O Sullivan. Events will include Sprints,
Long Jump, High Jump and Middle Distances. Competing at the Masters County
Championships on Monday will be Irene Butler, Moira Horgan, Margaret Carlin
and David Butler.

*Training:* Training continues Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. for u12 to
masters while all juveniles will train on Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m.
to 8 p.m. Both Monday and Wednesday evening training will be held in An
Fearann Sportsfield. Thursday evening will see the Masters train from 7 to
