The death has occurred of Nora Mai Supple, nee Leen, Ballyronan,
Ballyheigue Co. Kerry and formerly of Gortnaleha, Ballymac, Tralee, Co.
Kerry at her home.

Reposed on Sunday evening the 24th March in Hartnetts Funeral Home,
Ballyheigue followed by removal to St. Mary’s Church, Ballyheigue. Requiem
mass took place on Monday the 25th March at 11.00 am and burial afterwards
to St. James Old Cemetary, Ballyheigue.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE Beloved wife of the late Paddy, dearly loved mother

The death has occurred Mary Hanlon nee Cantillon of Maulin Cottage,
Ballyheigue, Co. Kerry, on 22nd March 2019, beloved wife of the late Martin
and dear mother of Pat, Sonny, Mary & Kathleen. Sadly missed by her loving
family, her grandchildren & great-grandchildren, brothers Florrie &
Francie, sons-in-law John & Joe, daughters-in-law Sylvia & Rita,

Community Games 2019

It was like a festival of medals coming back to Ballyheigue over the last 2
weekend of competitions in Community Games. The gymnastics was the first of
the events to start with Ella Casey and Max Fitzgerald both proudly
bringing home 2, 3rd place Bronze medals .They did brilliant as the level
of competition was very high. Ellie Walsh also took to the floor and did
excellent but was unlucky not to be placed in the medal position.

Last Sunday was the turn of our 4 Draughts Team under the watchful eye of
coach Terence Dineen. All teams came home with medals with our U10
receiving 2nd place silver medals, U12 3rd place Bronze medals, U14 3rd
place Bronze medals and yet again our U16 team taking home 1st place Gold
medals. What a fantastic result for all the teams . Good luck to the U16
team who go on to represent Kerry in the Munsters on April 20th.

For a magical evening of Irish music, song and dance come and join us on
Saturday April 20 th where Celtic Steps The Show ft The O’Neill Sisters
will take to the Community Centre stage. Tickets can be purchased through

St. Brendan’s A.C.

Well done to Ballyheigue athletes, Kevin Horgan, Max Fitzgerald, Eric O
Sullivan and Dylan McEvoy who competed in the Kerry Sportshall Games in
Milltown recently. Dylan won a gold medal in the speed bounce and a bronze
medal in the Long Jump. Kevin was on the u12 winning relay team, winning a
gold medal. All athletes will be busy preparing for the County
Championships which will be held on Sunday 5th & 12th May. Further details
will be given at the weekly coaching sessions which are being held in the
An Fearann Sportsfield (behind Ardfert Medical Centre) on Wednesday
evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for all juvenile athletes aged 7 to 18.

A number of club athletes ran in the Kerryhead/Ballyheigue Family Resource
Centre run. Well done to Cathy Flynn who came 3rd in the Ladies and to
Matthew O Sullivan who came 1st in the U16.We had a high number of club
athletes taking part in the various parkruns over the last weekend. These
events are free of charge and are open to all members to participate, just
please register on in advance and bring your barcode on the day
with you.Congratulations to Ballyheigue Athlete Dylan McEvoy who was
presented with his half marathon wristband by Sonia O Sullivan at Tralee
junior parkrun last Sunday. (pictured attached) The Gneeveguilla Open
Sports are being held this Sunday, 7th April in the An Ríocht track
Castleisland. The programme of events start at 12:30 p.m..Wishing all the
