community climate action workshops around the county, starting with an
evening in Milltown on the 21st February from 7-10pm. These will be a
follow-on from the climate conference that was hosted on the 11th November
The issue of a changing climate is very prominent at the moment and
communities are realising that it is having a wide impact, within our
communities to our local economies. We need to find creative and locally
based solutions as to how we create and use our energy, how we travel
around, how we produce our food and how to reduce the amount of food that
is wasted.
This workshop will also be run in the following communities and we will
post dates, times and venues as they are confirmed: Tralee, Castleisland,
Cahirciveen, Ballyheigue/Listowel, Fenit. If you are interested in
attending this workshop in your local area, if you want to find out more or
register a place, please contact Niamh at 086-7247066. These workshops are
supported by Kerry County Council through the Community Support Fund.
