BALLYHEIGUE NOTES – 5th June 2018

BALLYHEIGUE COMMUNITY CENTRE: RESPITE DAY-CARE For Dependant/Alzheimer’s
Service Users. This service is available at Ballyheigue Community Centre
every Friday from 9.30am – 2.30pm. This provides a welcome respite
opportunity for carers, and provides a positive experience for the person
receiving care. We have a care assistant and Nurse on duty at all times. For
information and if you require transport to the Community Centre, please
contact the Centre on 066 7133837.

MEALS ON WHEELS: We can provide any amount you require delivered to your
door on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Collection from the Centre also
available. Please contact the centre on 066 7133837 for more info.

BINGO: Bingo every Thursday night at 8.30pm at the Community Centre.

LAUNDRY SERVICE: Our Laundry is open Monday – Friday 9am to 4pm.

GYM: Our fully equipped Gym is open Monday to Friday 9.30am – 12.30pm and
5pm – 8.30pm.

ARDFERT RETREAT CENTRE: Enneagram: Discover the unique person you were made
to be! Enneagram is a powerful tool for understanding yourself and helping
you to communicate effectively with others. Friday 15th – Sun 17th June. For

GLENDAHALAN MASS: The Annual Mass at Glendahalan takes place at 8.00pm
next Thursday 7th June. We hope that all Parishioners will support this
historical Holy Place.

COMMUNION CALLS TO THE ELDERLY: Fr Brendan will bring Communion to the
people on his list on Friday 8th June beginning at 1.30pm. Please inform
relatives and friends.

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION: The annual Corpus Christi Procession will take
place next Sunday 10th June at 12.30pm from Our Lady’s Well to the
Community Centre for Benediction. First Holy Communion children will have
pride of place in this public manifestation of our devotion to the
Eucharist. We warmly welcome Parishioners from our neighbouring Parishes
in the Naomh Bréanainn Pastoral area to join us as we march with the Lord;
we thank the people who prepare their homes so beautifully along the way.

IRISH WATER SAFETY: Will hold swimming classes for school going children,
in Ballyheigue, July 9th -13th. Cost €25, enquiries 087 7730320.

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Sunday’s GAA Lotto:
2-21-23-28. The Jackpot of €8,850 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot will
be €8,900. The two €50 winners were: Shane Lawless, Ballylongane and
Marian Hussey, Glenderry. The €25 winner was Gillian Gentleman, Doon.

FIXTURES: North Kerry Under-10 hurling Blitz at Abbeydorney Saturday next
at 10am. Teams 11-a-side with adequate playing time given to all
players. Games:
10-minutes-each-half. The Garvey’s Super Valu, Co Senior hurling
Championship draw took place on Wednesday 30th May. Ballyheigue v Crotta,
Round-1 games will be played on week-end of 17th June.

KERRY HURLERS: Well done to the Kerry Senior hurlers who had a hard earned
two point victory over Meath on Saturday in the Joe McDonagh Cup. Score
Kerry 0-18, Meath 0-16. Michael Leane and Philip Lucid were members of
the Kerry panel. They will play Antrim on Saturday next at Dunloy.

COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 28th May in the
Ballyheigue & District coursing Club Lotto: 1-5-23-26. Jackpot was not won.
The €50 winner was Catherine Guerin, C/o White Sands. The €25 winners
were: Jimmy O’Halloran, C/o Mikey, John Kelliher, C/o John B. and Tony
Bowler, C/o White Sands. Next week’s Jackpot €9,350.
