GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Sunday’s GAA LOTTO
2-9-19-22. The Jackpot of €9,500 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot will be
€9,550. The two €50 winners were: Paddy Godley, Cliff Road and Michelle
O’Carroll, Lower Village, C/o Costcutters. The €25 Winner was Tina
O’Sullivan, Marion Park.

FIXTURES: U-15 Tom Healy Hurling Tournament this Friday evening at
Abbeydorney (under lights). Teams of 9-a-side with a panel of 15. Co
Intermediate Shield final Ballyheigue ’B’ v Austin Stacks Friday 26th Oct.
Venue and time to be confirmed.

ST BRENDAN’S AC

St Brendan’s AC had a gold medal win on Sunday last at the juvenile cross
country relays in Firies. The U12 boys team ran a great relay over testing
ground to come home first. The team was Aaron Horgan, Zach Walshe, Darragh
O’Flaherty, Matthew O’Sullivan, Rory O’Halloran and Eoin Flaherty. Also in
action was the U10 boys team of Ruairi Walshe, Kevin Horgan, Ben O’Connor
and Conor O’Sullivan. The commitment of these athletes was displayed
earlier on Sunday when Matthew, Aaron, Kevin, Rory and Ben worked as
volunteers for the Tralee junior parkrun before going to the county
championships.

Good news from the club’s performances the previous week in Cahersiveen was
received also as Matthew, Kevin and Alex O Carroll were awarded bronze team
medals in the U11 county championships. This was a great achievement as
Alex was competing for the first time for St Brendan’s.

The next big event is the club awards night which takes place in Banna
Beach Hotel on this Saturday, Oct 20th at 6.30pm. Presentations will be
made to the athletes who have helped the club to grow over the year and all
parents and athletes are asked to support the event.

COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 18thOct in the
Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto. 14-17-18-20. Jackpot was not
won. The €50 winner was Mary Russell, C/o White Sands. The €25 winner’s
were Kevin O’Mahony, C/o White Sands, John Paul Leen C/o Macs and Catherine
Guerin C/o White Sands. Next week’s Jackpot is €10,300.

DECEASED OF PAST YEAR: On Saturday 10th Nov at the 8.00pm Mass we will
prayerfully remember all those who have died during the past year.

CENTENARY SUFFRAGE CELEBRATION’S: Suffrage Celebrations

Final reminder that the Centenary of Women’s Suffrage, achieved in 1918,
will be commemorated and celebrated this weekend in the White Sands Hotel
on Saturday and Sunday night, beginning at 8.00pm each night. All are most
welcome

To illustrate the historical struggle for voting rights for Women, achieved
in 1918, Marian Relihan will stage her playlet on the movement during the
Commemorations on Saturday 20th October. On Sunday 21st will see a whole
host of artistes from and near, adding to the celebrations. Both Events
are free and are held in the White Sands Hotel. All welcome.
