Sunday in the Munster even-age cross country championships in Beaufort,
Aaron Horgan ran a brilliant race in the U12 grade and won a medal for his
brilliant 5th position in a huge field of athletes. The boys team of Aaron,
Zach Walshe, Rory O’Halloran and Matthew O’Sullivan all did well in the
rain. In the U10 race, the club was represented by Kevin Horgan, Ruairi
Walshe, Ben O’Connor and Conor O’Sullivan and again all four ran with great
enthusiasm and Ben and Kevin were scoring members of the Kerry team that
got bronze medals in the inter-county race. Eimear O’Sullivan represented
the club in the very competitive U16 race and finished well up in the huge
field.

On Saturday evening in Banna Beach Hotel, the club’s awards night was held
and presentations were made to the athletes who had been county, Munster
and All Ireland medallists during 2018. A great evening was had by all and
thanks to all the athletes and parents who were present to support the
event.

In the Tralee park-run on Saturday, David Butler was presented with his
cert for completing 50 park-runs while other club athletes took part in
other events in a variety of venues over the busy weekend.
