KERRY HURLERS: The Kerry Senior hurlers were defeated by Westmeath in Round
2 of Div 2 National League on Sunday at Austin Stacks Park. Score Kerry
2-17 Westmeath 4-13. Ballyheigue Michael Leane made an appearance as a sub.

CAUSEWAY CAMOGIE NEWS: U14 camogie training on Wednesday’s & Friday’s from
6 to 7pm in the astro turf Causeway. €2 please. This is open to all girls
born 2005 & 2006 from all parishes. Gear will be provided if needed.

ST. BRENDAN’S AC: St Brendan’s AC hosted the second annual primary schools
indoor sports on Wednesday last in Causeway and 120 pupils took part from
schools all over North Kerry. Ardfert NS won the shield for the best
overall school after two hours of non-stop activity. The club wishes to
thank all the pupils who took part as well as the teachers and parents who
assisted on the evening. Results and photos are available on

Athletes are asked to keep in mind the 10th Banna Run this summer which
will be a special occasion and sponsors for kilometre markers are being
requested to support the event.

Training continues on Tuesdays at 7-8pm for U12 and upwards and from 8-9pm
for adults in Ardfert Community Centre while all juveniles train on
Wednesdays from 6.30-8pm at the same venue. Adults train again on Thursdays
at Tralee Marina at 7pm and on Sunday mornings in Causeway. Contact 087

The Munster U9-U11 indoor championships will be held in Nenagh on this
Saturday while four of the club’s athletes will be in action on this Sunday
in Nenagh in the Munster masters indoor championships. Ursula Barrett,
David Butler, Martin Butler and David Kissane will take part in a variety
of events in track, jumps and throws. The junior indoor championships will
also be staged in Nenagh with Darragh Courtney and Aaron Malik taking part.

Many of St Brendan’s AC athletes were involved in parkruns at a number of
venues last weekend. Moira Horgan did her 50th parkrun in Bushy Park in
London where she was joined by Aaron and Kevin Horgan, Zach, Ruairi and
Conor Walshe. Indeed Ruairi ran his 100th junior parkrun on Saturday. There
were over 1300 participants on Sunday in the adult run. In the St Anne’s
parkrun in Dublin David Kissane was first O65 among 507 participants on
Saturday while a big number of club athletes were involved in the Tralee
parkrun on both Saturday and Sunday.
