GLENDERRY NATIONAL SCHOOL: Wishes to invite all members of the community to
the official opening of our school’s new Astroturf Pitch on Monday, 11th of
April at 10.30am in the school. John Brassil TD will be on hand to

BADMINTON: Well done to Lillian Holmes who teamed up with James O’Mahony
from Causeway to win the County Div.5 mixed Championship in Killarney last

And also to Paula O’Sullivan who was on the Kerry “G” team that came third
in the all-Ireland last Saturday in Limerick.

Ballyheigue is hosting the Co. Finals of the division 3 and 5 leagues on
Tuesday night. Play will continue on Monday and Thursday nights for another
few weeks in the Community Centre.

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Sunday’s GAA Lotto:
1-7-14-22. The Jackpot of €3,050 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot will be
€3,100. The two €50 winners were: Eli Collins, Maulin and Margaret Roche,

PATRICK O’MAHONY TOURNAMENT: A meeting of the Patrick O’Mahony tournament
committee will be held this Wednesday evening at 9.00pm in the White Sands
Hotel. All welcome. The tournament will take place on 16th and 17th
April. Teams taking part will be Ruane (Clare), St. Rynagh (Offaly),
Ballyheigue and Kilmoyley.

GAA DRAW: The winner of the ton of coal in the Ballyheigue GAA Juvenile
section fundraising draw was Elizabeth Reidy, Tiershanahan, Ballyheigue.
Many thanks to all those who supported the draw. The money raised will go
to the Ballyheigue Feile team.

KERRY HURLERS: Well done to the Kerry senior hurlers who played tremendous
hurling when they beat Laoise in the N.H.L. at Austin Stack’s Park on
Saturday. They now retain their position in Div.1B. Final score Kerry
2.27 and Laoise 1-19. Philip Lucid was a member of the Kerry panel.

UNDER 14s: The U-14 football team had a big win over St. Senans in the Co.
League on Wednesday evening.

MINOR: The Ballyheigue minor hurlers received a walk-over from Ballyduff
in the N.K. League on Sunday morning.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: The AGM of the Ballyheigue Social Economy
Enterprises Ltd. (Ballyheigue Community Centre) will be held in Ballyheigue
Centre, Sandhill Road on Wednesday 20th April at 8.00pm.

HEALING MASS: A Mass of healing and anointing of the Sick will be held in
St. Mary’s Church on Friday next 8th April at 7.30pm. Those who wish to be
anointed with oil of the sick, especially those who are unable to attend
Mass regularly are invited especially. We can come too to pray for those
who are too sick to attend.

PEACE CONCERT: Mayo International Choral Festival is hosting a Peace
Concert with the RTE Concert Orchestra in the beautiful surrounds of the
fully refurbished Knock Basilica on Saturday, May 14th. This Peace concert
will commemorate the 1916 Rising and World War One. The RTE Concert
Orchestra will be conducted by David Brophy. The orchestra will perform
with a 120 member choir and soloists Anne Marie Gibbons and Owen Gilhooly.
