PARENTS IMPORTANT: Ballyheigue GAA, in association with Ballyheigue Family
Resource Centre & Ballyheigue Youth Centre are organising a comprehensive
talk for parents to highlight the dangers on-line faced by children and
adults alike. The talk will be given by Garda Jason o’Mahony who is an
expert in this field. The venue is the White Sands Hotel on Thursday 12th

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Sunday’s GAA Lotto:
1-4-9-23. The Jackpot of €3,300 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot will be
€3,350. The two €50 winners were John Flahive, Tiduff and Graine
O’Sullivan, Glenderry. The €25 winner was Pat O’Halloran, Ballyrohan.

UNDER 14s: The U-14 hurlers were defeated in the Feile Final by Ballyduff
on Monday. It was a very close game all through where Ballyheigue led by a
point at the break and were two points up with two minutes remaining in the
game, but the Ballyduff team finished with a goal and a point and held out
for victory. Final score Ballyheigue 1-4 and Ballyduff 2-4. The players
and mentors Jer, Jason and Susan put a lot of work into the team. The U-14
team lost to Abbeydorney in the Co. League on Saturday evening. Score
Ballyheigue 4-3 and Abbeydorney 6-7.

UNDER 16s: The U-16 hurlers lost to Kenmare/Kilgarvan in the Co. League
semi-final on Thursday evening. Brendan Walsh got injured during the game
and we wish him a speedy recovery.

UNDER 12s: The U-12 hurlers defeated Abbeydorney in the Co. League on
Thursday evening. Score Ballyheigue 2-7 and Abbeydorney 0.7. Panel: Dara

MINOR: The Minor hurlers were well beaten by Causeway in the North Kerry
Minor ‘B’ League final on Friday evening at Kilmoyley.

UNDER 11s: The U-11 hurlers had a win over Causeway in the North Kerry
League on Friday evening , Score Ballyheigue 4-6 and Causeway 3-1.

UNDER 14s FOOTBALL: The U-14 football lost to St. Senan’s in the Co. League
semi-final on Sunday. Score Ballyheigue 3-7 and St. Senan’s 6-7.

KERRY HURLERS: The Kerry Seniors were defeated by Westmeath in the Leinster
Championship Round 2 at Austin Stack’s Park on Saturday, Kerry 1-13 and

1-18. Philip Lucid was a member of the team.

YOUTH MASS ARDFERT: A Mass for youth will be held in Wether’s Well, Tubrid,
Ardfert at 7.30pm on Monday 16th May the Feast of St. Brendan. Let the
young express themselves and celebrate together.

Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto: 1-9-19-27. Jackpot was not

DEATH: The death took place of Mary T. Flahive, Tiduff Cross, Ballyheigue.
Removal on Tuesday 3rd May 2016 from Hartnett’s Funeral Home to St. Mary’s
Church and following Requiem Mass burial was on Wednesday 4th May in St.
James’ Old Cemetery, Ballyheigue R.I.P. Sadly missed by her loving family,
brothers: Patrick, John, Thomas, Willie, Florry-Michael and Eamon; Sisters
Kitty, Bridie-Ann; sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
