PATTERN “THRASHER” FESTIVAL: A super Diaspora – Homecoming Day is now
prepared for our returning parishioners next Tuesday at 8.00pm in the
Ballroom of the White Sands Hotel.

Then on the following day, the eve of the Pattern, the Grand Sessions will
take place at 9.00 pm in the White Sands also. The Special Guest, who will
officially open the Festival, is Cllr. John Lucid, KCC.

So a lovely traditional atmosphere surrounds this year’s celebration of Our

cuppa. You’ll fine a home away from home. The chaplaincy is a vibrant and
warm community, where you can meet new friends, unwind in between classes,
and just be yourself. In the chaplaincy you will also have many
opportunities for reflection, growth, prayer, and to learn more about your
catholic faith. Our full-time chaplains are always available to listen,
and to provide you with whatever guidance and help you need on your
university journey. At the Honan Chapel we welcome you to daily and
Sunday Mass, prayer services, or for some quiet time on your own.

CYCLE AGAINST SUICIDE TRALEE SPIN OFF: The Ballyheigue Committee would like

UNDER 12s: The Ballyheigue U-12 Football and Hurling teams had good wins
during the week. On Monday evening the Football team defeated Keel.
Score:Ballyheigue 4-9 and Keel 1-7. On Wednesday evening the hurling team
had a win over St. Brendan’s Score: Ballyheigue 3-8 and St. Brendan’s 1-2.

KERRY MINORS: Good Luck to the Kerry Minor hurlers who play Meath in the

DEATH: The death has occurred of Pat Joe Horgan, Ballinclemessig on 24th
August 2016 Reposing at his son Colm’s residence on Thursday 25th August
followed by removal to St .Mary’s Church with Requiem Mass on Friday
26th August,
followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballyheigue, R.I.P. Sadly
missed by his family – children John, T. J., Colette, Padraig, Billy and
Colm, daughters-in-law, son-in-law; niece; nephews; grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and extended family.

COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 22nd August in
the Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto: 10-20-23-29. Jackpot was
