CHRISTMAS RACES MEETING: The Annual Ballyheigue Strand Horse and Pony Races
will take place on Sunday 27th December 2015 at 12.30 pm. There is a seven
card race programme a will carry a prize fund of over €5,000 which should
provide with some excellent racing. The venue for the day is Ballyheigue
magnificent beach. A great day’s entertainment is in store for all. The
presentation of prizes will be held in The White Sands Hotel post racing.
Racing in Ballyheigue is a fantastic spectacle that has to be seen to be
fully appreciated.

CHRISTMAS DAY SWIM: In aid of the Ballyheigue Inshore Rescue the annual
Christmas Day swim will be held on Friday (Christmas Day) at 12 noon.
Please assemble near the Life Guards Hut at 11.45am.

BADMINTON: Well done to our Division-4 Ladies team which has qualified for
the Co final for the second year in a row. They will defend their title
which they won last year in Tralee on Wednesday 13th of January. We wish
them the best of luck.

We held our Christmas Tournament on Monday night last where we had 28
players competing. Results: Juniors: 1st Aidan Reidy and Luke McCrohan. 2nd
Tadhg Griffin and Tomas Gaynor. 3rd Gearoid Quilter and Jimmy Halloran.
Seniors: Winners Team-D: John McDonnell, Patsy O’ Connor, Colm Griffin,
Sara Leahy and Stephanie Kenny.

Runners-Up Team-A: Tim Griffin, Linda Burke, Paula O’Sullivan, Sean Griffin
and Conor McCrohan.

The Club will resume after Christmas on Monday 4th January. New members

RINGS CLUB: The Ballyheigue Rings Club held their Christmas Doubles
Tournament recently. Results – John Bradley & Patsy O’Connor beat Kathleen
McDonagh & Martin Young in a very close final. Highest score on the night
was Mark Reidy with 53.

We will be back playing again in the Family Resource Centre every Tuesday
night at 9 o’ clock from the 12th January 2016. New members welcome.

COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 14th December in
the Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club: 3-18-26-27. Jackpot was not

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Sunday’s GAA Lotto:

COMMUNITY GAMES 2015: Our committee would like to wish everyone a very
Happy Christmas and New Year 2016. We look forward to another eventful year
next year and your support is vital to community games continuing in
Ballyheigue. From training to travelling and parents being available on
days of events to support the children and helping our Mentors all support
is needed. We thank all those who helped out and ask you all to not forget
our Table Quiz.

TABLE QUIZ: Ballyheigue Community Games will hold their Annual Table Quiz
in Flahive’s bar next Sunday 27th December. This event is always a very
enjoyable fun relaxer away from home after the busy season and a great way
to test your Knowledge. Tables of 4 cost €20 with the winning table
receiving €100. We also a prize for the best Table name so get your
thinking caps on.

BINGO: A massive €5,000 bingo will he held in the Tintean Theatre on next
Sunday 27th December doors open at 2pm, game starts 2.30pm. People in
supporting a good cause will also have a chance to win a door prize of a
weekend in the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin. This big Bingo is for all the
Family i.e. from Kids up to Grans. Kids books €10 single €20 and double
