BALLYHEIGUE NOTES – 12th December 2016

COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 5th December 2016
in the Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto: 1-9-25-30. Jackpot was
not won. The €50 winner was: David Couchman, C/o Kitty. The €25 winners
were: Fiona O’Mahony, C/o Macs; David Harris, C/o Kitty, and Jo
F.Leen/S.Griffin, C/o Macs. Next week’s Jackpot €5,550. If the Jackpot is
not won on December 19th a draw for 2 x €50 and 6 x €25 will take place.

DEATHS: The death has occurred of Kitty Kenneally, The Village,
Ballyheigue. Reposing at Hartnett’s Funeral Home on Sunday 4th December
with Requiem Mass on Monday 5th December in St. Mary Church,, Ballyheigue
followed by burial in Ardfert Cathedral Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

The death took place of Christina Fitzgerald (née Moore), Harty’s Terrace
and late of Ballyronan, Ballyheigue. Reposing at her home on Tuesday 6th
December. Requiem Mass on Wednesday 7th December and burial afterwards in
the Holy Family Cemetery, Ballyheigue. May she rest in peace. Sadly
missed by her loving family – daughter Cecilia, son-in-law Ger;
grand-daughters Rachel, Stacey, Laura, Keeva; and Eamon, great-grand-child
Dylan, relatives and many friends.

ST. JAMES’S OLD GRAVEYARD: There will be a Church Gate collection for St.
James’s Old Graveyard on Saturday/Sunday 17th/18th December.

SENIOR CITIZENS CHRISTMAS PARTY: This will be held in the White Sands
Hotel, on Sunday 18th December at 1.30pm sharp.

Thursday mornings from 9.30am to 1.00pm). All bookings for Masses, Mass

DON’T BE LONELY THIS CHRISTMAS: ‘Senior Help Line’ Ireland’s only national
listening service for older people will be open every day over Christmas
and New Year from 10 am to 10 pm. They are there to take your call if you
are on your own, feeling isolated, worried or would like someone to talk
to. Christmas can be a sad time for many people, and in the midst of
apparent universal gaiety, some of us can feel very alone. ‘Senior Help
Line’ volunteers are trained older people who understand the ups and downs
of life, and are happy to listen, to keep company and to support. So let
