BALLYHEIGUE NOTES – 19th January 2016

BADMINTON – It was a great week for Ballyheigue Badminton starting with the
Listowel Tournament where Colum Carroll captured the Division 5 Mixed
Doubles title in a close hard fought final. Interestingly the runner up in
this competition was Ballyheigue native Karen Lawlor. In Division 4 we had
Kevin O’Mahony just losing out in another close final. Then on Wednesday
night our Division 4 Ladies Team made it 2 in a row when they defeated
Killarney in the County Final in Tralee, thus retaining the trophy they won
for the first time last year.

The team was Paula O’Sullivan [Captain], Linda Burke, Siobhan Colbert and
Sara Leahy.
