Ballyheigue History & Heritage Group will be holding The Annual
Trad-cum-Classical Concert in the White Sands Hotel on Saturday, 12th
August at 8.30 (sharp),

In association with Aidan O’Carroll, Director*, *Kerry School of Music,

Richard Casey, Trad. Composer & Performer,

Sonny Egan, Humorous Storyteller, and other Special Guest,

Some new young talents will also be staged on the night. The Event is grant
aided by Kerry Co. Council).

The participation of Dave Hegarty, uilleann piper par excellence, completes
the programme for this Saturday night’s concert in the White Sands Hotel.

With Richard Casey, Aidan O’Carroll and Sonny Egan staging new and original
talent the Concert will prove to be a memorable occasion.

Mr. John Lucid, MKCC, Mayor of Listowel and the North Kerry Region is the
Honoured Guest at the Event, the proceeds of which will go towards parish

BALLYHEIGUE COMMUNITY CENTRE: The Cycle against Suicide (CAS) Tralee
SpinOff is coming back to Ballyheigue on Saturday August 19th. Cycle
against Suicide is a registered charity that aims to raise awareness that
“it’s ok not to feel ok and it’s absolutely ok to ask for help”. The
SpinOff is organised by the community for the community and for the benefit
of everyone in an effort to break the cycle of suicide in Ireland.
Ballyheigue Community Centre was one of the main stopovers for the 2016
Tralee SpinOff cycle.

The local organising committee are currently sourcing refreshments for the
event on the day. If anyone would like to contribute sandwiches/ baking/
fruit etc. for the event on Saturday August 19th, please contact the
Community Centre on 066 7133837 / drop into the Community Centre and speak
to Joann and Louise or donations can be made to the Community Centre on the
morning of the event (Saturday August 19th) between 10:30am and 12:30pm.

LOCAL LINK KERRY is the trading name of Kerry Community Transport CLG. Local
Link is the National brand for Public Transport services in local and rural
areas of Ireland. There are 17 Local Link offices (Transport Co-ordination
Units) nationally that operate as agents of the National Transport

Local Link Kerry co-ordinate and manage the delivery of Safe, Secure and
Reliable Bus Transport Services in Co Kerry.

Our role manages and co-ordinate the delivery of a combination of scheduled
Public & Community Transport Services as well as contracted bus services
for a range of Agencies and Organisations. All services are provided by
Private Bus Operators as LLK do not own any buses.

Children/young people up to 19 – under 3’s go Free as is normal.

Parents / Grandparents / Guardians / Aunties / Uncles / Siblings /
Baby-sitters /Carers of Children – who would like to take the kids out for
a day. I would appreciate it if you would promote this campaign and the
existing bus services in your community and feel free to post the attached

holidays) we decided to go to Tralee on the bus! We used Local Link Kerry.
What a brilliant service. I rang them this morning and the lovely Yvonne

Tony (from the fab Daughtons buses) picked us up from the end of our road
and we were on our way. A great journey through parts of North Kerry I had

KERRY TEAMS: Best of luck to the Kerry Under-21 and Minor hurling teams
who will be in action on Saturday at Dr Hide Park, Roscommon. The U-21
hurlers will play Donegal and the Minor hurlers will play Kildare.

COMMUNITY GAMES 2017: We have two representatives in the All Ireland Finals
this weekend. Our youngest member Stephen Harty runs in the U-8 80m.
Stephen son of Kieran and Shelia is a very talented runner and has been
practicing very hard. Shauna Casey well known for her artistic- hand takes
part again in the Model Making U-16. Shauna has had great success at the
National finals. We wish both competitors the very best of luck as they
represent not only Ballyheigue but the whole County of Kerry
